The year 2005 was a memorable year to me. Last three years I experienced a very fast life, but this year was a cool and relaxed one. I learnt various new things in this year. I saw various personalities including A. R. Rahman, Bharat Jadhav, Viveik Oberoy, Subhash Ghai, Urmila Martondkar, Sonu Nigam, Jitendra Joshi( a marathi actor), Navin Prabhakar(Pehchan Kaun?), Shatrughna Sinha, Viju Khote, Mandar Shinde, Abhijeet Sawant(Indian Idol), Rahul Vaidya, Sameera Reddy, Isha Sharwani. This was the year when I didn’t find my college bore. I enjoyed college. One thing I miss is I didn’t trip . Normally, from last 4 years, I had a trip with my friends. I read Chetan Bhagat’s Five Point Someone. This year I became mobile, means I got mobile to use. I cannot forget this year I read a very large number of blogs on various topics. Most of the blogs were tech related. I recommend blogs as the most important source of information. I used many web 2.0 sites. I used my Yahoo messenger a lot. I used Gmail a lot. It is currently showing “You are currently using 379 MB (14%) of your 2679 MB.” I used del.icio.us a lot. del.icio.us is my favourite site. It is currently showing my “All your items (729)”, it means I bookmarked 729 sites until now. I can’t forget the instant success of Google Total. I tried to create various sites such as Pune Times Online. Among the TV serials, I enjoyed Indian Idol, Laughter Challenge & Laughter Champions. Overall, the year was an interesting year to me.

I am writing this post on Linux(Fedora Core 4). Few days ago, I successfully connected net on Linux machine using my mobile with Airtel GPRS. Using internet on Linux is a great experience!
From long time I wanted it but I was unsuccessful. But one day, one of the members in PLUG posted article on its mailing list about connecting internet from Airtel GPRS using Linux machine. The article was very helpful. I got connected.
Now it will help me to learn Linux more easily because I can directly search my queries related to Linux on Google. A lot of material on Linux is available on the net. Previously I was hating linux because lack of availability of internet. But from now I will try to use Linux as more as I can. I am thinking of learning more technologies related to Linux.

Oreilly has a great article about using Google as a free proxy. You can access restricted web sites using Google language tools service as a proxy.You can translate a webpage, using Google translator, to access it even if restricted.

Proxy is a device that stands between a PC and the internet, providing all the conncetions to the word wide web. What a proxy does is to receive all data from a requested site, so when you access web pages all data come from proxy.

When we use net in office/colleges/universities, services are set to provide more safety blocking the access to unrestricted web sites. What you can do now is use Google translator service (language tools) as a proxy to bypass the restrictions.

I saw Bluffmaster movie this Sunday. Movie is worth watching. The story is totally new. Songs are listenable. The Right here Right now rocks but the video of the song is different in movie. It appears at last when movie ends. Abhishek has done a good job, but Ritesh goes one step ahead of him. Ritesh has performed natural comedy. Boman Irani rocks again. His natural performance can’t stop us laughing. Priayanka Chopra looks nice. Finally Nana gets all credit for small but good impact performance. Rohan Sippy has shown he is capable of producing good movies. The movie is worth for the weekend watching.

My first sem. BE exam finished. I am quite relaxed. I am in love with this winter season. I like to wake up early in the morning. I like to see and feel the fog. Great…….. : )
